What does Apex Energy Consultants do, what services do you provide?

Apex is a Petroleum Engineering company. We provide practical engineering services related to the energy industry, primarily in oil and gas development. In 1999, we expanded these services to include power generation specializing in gas powered electrical generators.



What makes Apex Energy Consultants Inc. any different from the other consulting firms out there?
Since inception we have tried to provide realistic solutions to our clients. There are many things which may be technically possible, but they may not economically feasible. We have all heard of projects which have been technical success, but economic disasters.
Prior to starting a project, we at Apex, will determine if we think the project is sound, both technically and economically. If in our opinion, the project does not satisfy our standards of commitment then we disclose our concerns to our clients. If the client insists that it wishes to proceed, then we will withdraw. We will not take on a project that we would not invest our own funds in or that would be in contravention of our values. These values are quite simple: The project must be technically achievable. It must have minimal negative impact on the environment. We will not take on a project which would compromise, as professionals, our engineering code of ethics which we have sworn to uphold. By adhering to these values, we have been able to continue providing services for over 19 years, both domestically and internationally. We still carry on business with people that started using our firm when we first opened our doors back in 1985. This, we believe, is a testament to the trust that our clients have in us.

What type of projects has Apex Energy Consultants Inc. carried out?
Our projects have varied from everything from reserves and economic evaluations, designing and executing offshore drilling of wells, drilling onshore, designing pipelines and production facilities. We have designed and presented six to nine month training programs to engineering and geological professionals for international clients. We have carried out reservoir engineering studies for reserves determination, reservoir exploitation, enhanced recovery. Completion and work-over design and execution. Since our inception we have provided services on four continents in over thirty countries. Over the last five years, we have been asked to take on more projects involving complete asset management roles.

What kind of engineering do we do?

Our technical staff is comprised of Petroleum engineers, mechanical and chemical engineers, petroleum engineering technologists, sedimentary geologists, geophysicts. Our trained staff can take a project from inception through production and operations. In the past we have worked with investors who had a desire to start up an oil and gas company and wanted a technical team to handle the entire operation. The ‘entire operation’ started with acquisition of mineral rights, executing a seismic program, evaluating the seismic program, execution of a drilling program, completion of wells, ending with the installation of production facilities and operation of the wells.
